FAQ

From your first idea to the date.

Learn how to save date ideas, compare your ratings, choose together and plan a date with twoDate. Find answers about memories, accounts and privacy.

Who is twoDate for?

You and your partner. Save date ideas and each rate how much you want to try them. Pick a favourite together, schedule your date and save the memory afterwards.

How do we get started together?

Create your own accounts. One of you shares their personal invitation code and the other enters it in the app. Add your first idea and each give it a rating, then choose a date together.

How do ratings help us choose?

Each of you gives an idea a score from 0 to 5 stars, in half-star steps, to show how much you want to try it. The app displays both scores and a shared label. Compare your ratings to find what you both want to do. You decide which date to plan.

Can we add our own date ideas?

Yes. Save an idea with a title, description and an optional photo. You can also add an idea from the inspiration catalogue to your list.

How do we turn an idea into a date?

Choose something you both want to do from your ideas list and set a date for it. It appears in your schedule. You can move it if another day works better.

What can we save after a date?

Record how it went with the date, notes, photos and a location. Memories with coordinates appear on your map. You can attach up to five photos to an idea or memory.

Can we rate a date afterwards too?

Yes. Beforehand, you rate how much you want to try an idea. Afterwards, you can each rate how the date went. Your experience rating is separate from the score you gave the idea before the date.

Who can see our photos and plans?

The shared space is accessible to you and your connected partner. The API checks sign-in and your connection before granting access to private content. The provider may need access for technical administration or support. The app does not offer end-to-end encryption.

Do I have to share my location or enable notifications?

You choose whether to centre the map on your current location and whether to receive notifications. Your device location is not saved with your account. A place you add to a date yourself is shared with your partner.

Does twoDate track how I use the app?

Only if you consent to Firebase Analytics under Profiel > Help twoDate verbeteren (Profile > Help improve twoDate). It is off by default. You can turn it off again, but this does not delete statistics already sent.

How do I delete my account?

Open your profile and choose Account verwijderen (Delete account), or use the deletion page on this website. On the website, you confirm with an email code. Your connection closes for both partners. In the current version, shared text stays in a closed archive. The deletion page explains what happens to your data.
